The best sunset cruise on Marco Island.
There are a dozen sunset boats running out of Marco and Naples. Most are fine. One is the one we actually book ourselves when family is in town — and here's why.

The short answer: Captain Nick's Naples Luxury Boat Tours, out of nearby Naples Bay. Six guests max, dressy boat, glassy water, golden‑hour light past Port Royal mansions and Keewaydin Island. It is the one to book.
Why it beats the bigger sunset boats
The big tourist catamarans out of Marco can take 40+ guests. They're cheaper, they're loud, and the sunset is a backdrop to the bachelorette party next to you. This is the opposite of that — small, quiet, BYO bottle, captain who points out dolphins by name.
When to book
In season (December – April), book 2–3 weeks out. Sunset slots fill first. Off‑season you can often grab a same‑week reservation. Sunset on Marco is around 5:45pm in January and 8:20pm in July — plan dinner late.
What to bring
- A bottle of rosé or champagne (the boat provides glasses + ice)
- A light layer — the breeze is real after sundown
- Phone on airplane mode. Real talk: cell is patchy past the pass anyway
- No shoes required
