The everyday default
Publix Super Market at Shops of Marco
The cleanest, brightest Publix on the island. Killer deli (the chicken tender sub is famous for a reason), wine selection, BOGO deals on Wednesdays, and a Starbucks inside. This is where 80% of your vacation grocery runs will happen.
Cheaper basics & late hours
Winn‑Dixie on N. Collier Blvd
Better prices on staples, a real seafood counter with fresh local grouper and shrimp, and open later than Publix when you forgot the limes for cocktails.
Sunscreen, aloe, sandals
CVS & Walgreens
Both stock reef‑safe mineral sunscreen, the cheap straw hat you'll actually wear, and the after‑sun aloe you'll need by day three. Don't pay resort gift‑shop prices for any of this.
Captain‑grade sandwiches
The Island Deli & Market (Tradewinds)
A tiny island gem locals send fishing captains to. Cold cuts, made‑to‑order subs, key lime pie by the slice, and a small selection of craft beer and wine. The move for a boat‑day picnic.
Breakfast sandwiches to go
Doreen's Cup of Joe (deli case)
Grab a breakfast burrito on the way to a sunrise beach walk. Faster than the resort restaurant and a quarter of the price.
Liquor & better wine
ABC Fine Wine & Spirits
If you're stocking the rental condo bar, this is the better selection on the island. Decent rosé for sunset boat day.
