Marco Island in April.
Ask any local their favorite month and it's this one. Eighty degrees, warm Gulf, snowbirds heading home, restaurants you can actually walk into. Easter weekend is the only catch.

Weather
Highs 80–83°F, lows in the high 60s. Water 74–77°F — properly warm. Almost no rain. Humidity starts climbing the last week.
Prices
This is when peak‑season pricing breaks. Beachfront drops from $900 to around $500/night after Easter. The same condo that was $1,200 in February is $600 by April 20th.
What to book first
- A boat tour — same captains, no waitlist.
- Stone crab one last time — season ends May 1.
- A reservation at a restaurant you couldn't get into in March.
What to skip
Easter weekend specifically — locals stay home, but it's the last spike before summer rates kick in. Either come before or after.
One local note
The water is the warmest it'll be without being bathtub hot. April is the best swimming month, full stop.
