Marco Island in June.
Summer arrives in earnest — hot, humid, and stormy by 3pm. The plus side: bathtub‑warm Gulf, family‑friendly off‑season rates, and beaches that feel like your own.

Weather
Highs 89–92°F, lows around 75°F. Water 83–85°F. Daily afternoon thunderstorms (genuinely most days) between 2 and 5pm, usually under an hour. Hurricane season starts June 1 — early June risk is low.
Prices
Beachfront $250–$450/night. Hotels run mid‑week summer specials. School's out, so weekends fill with Florida families — book Saturday nights two weeks ahead.
What to book first
- Beach mornings — be on the sand by 8am, off by noon.
- Indoor lunch downtown (Naples) during the 2pm storm.
- A sunset cruise after the storm passes — the light is unreal.
What to skip
Anything scheduled for 2–5pm on the beach. Plan the day around the storm, not against it.
One local note
Travel insurance is worth it in hurricane season, even though June rarely spins anything up. Check your rental's policy.
